I dont even know what day it is…

May 1st, 2009 Posted in Uncategorized

I am not sure how many days have gone by since I updated this, but Miles is still in teh NICU but is doing great.  He is in a room air crib… no isolette anymore.  No more IV’s or tubes except for the feeding tube.  His last hurdle is to learn how to eat.  he has to take all of his nutrition from a bottle when I am not there and from me when I am there and gain weight at the same time.  He is halfway there, so the prospects of him coming home this week are very very good!  I have been spending all my time at the hospital about 12 hours a day to give him the best chance at learning how to breastfeed, hence these updates have been dwindling.  But a huge huge thanks to everyone for their comments and well wishes, and dinners and babysitting offers.  We could not have made it through these last two weeks without all of you.  Lots of love to everyone!!

We are glad to see Miles is doing so great!  He will be home before you know it and in a flash he and Nolan will be fighting over what chair to sit at for dinner.  Meg and I are thinking about you, Mike, Nolan and Miles and can’t wait to see you all again.
